Jesus Christ left instructions for His Church to be built
up as His body, the Church is the living Body of Christ.
Members of the body of Christ are called to fellowship
together and lift up the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit
appoints leaders within the body to edify (build up) the
body to handle the call of ministry to a lost world.
Prayer Can Help Ministries has planted a Church in the
City of Colmar Manor to do just that. The Church in
Colmar is a small gathering of believers and Disciples
of Christ who seek to serve God and be encouraged in
their faith.
Through the ministries of Prayer, Study, Worship, and
Intercession the Church teaches and lives the word of
God. Prayer Can Help purposes to be a Church without
walls for our God who has no limits. 1 Cor 14:26 If you
are without a Church home check out our
Distance
Discipleship Program.
The Body of Christ
Fellowship   (Heb 10:25)
The gathering together of like minded individuals to discuss ideas,
encourage one another, and to contend for their beliefs is not something
that is exclusive to Christianity. In fact our basis for doing so is based
upon the Jewish heritage from which Christianity is derived. However, as
a Church we must come together to not only to agree and encouraged but
also for correction and accountability. The body of Christ is called to
advance the faith through teaching, preaching, prayer, evangelism, and
fellowship. We must follow the teaching and example of Jesus who spent
great amounts of time with those that wanted to be discipled. Jesus not
only went out and ministered to those in the world who needed to hear the
gospel and had not yet made a choice, but He also spent quality time
teaching and building up those who had made a commitment to Him and
the faith. We see that Jesus ate, prayed, sang, taught, and preached to
and with His disciples.
The Church in Colmar of PCHM is based upon New Testament principles and
teachings. A Church is the Body of Christ made up of believers who gather
together to worship the Lord. A Church is not a giant ornate building but the
united hearts in Jesus. Times of fellowship prayer and teaching are taking
place in a home Church as we see took place in the homes of early Church
leaders.
Philemon 1:1-2 (NLT)
This letter is from Paul, a prisoner for preaching the Good News about Christ
Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. I am writing to Philemon, our beloved
co-worker, and to our sister Apphia, and to our fellow soldier Archippus, and to
the church that meets in your house.
Romans 16:3-5 (NLT)
Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in the ministry of
Christ Jesus. In fact, they once risked their lives for me. I am thankful to them,
and so are all the Gentile churches. Also give my greetings to the church that
meets in their home. Greet my dear friend Epenetus. He was the first person
from the province of Asia to become a follower of Christ.
1 Corinthians 16:19 (NLT)
The churches here in the province of Asia send greetings in the Lord, as do
Aquila and Priscilla and all the others who gather in their home for church
meetings.
As a Church body we purpose
to meet all the criteria laid out
by Jesus and His disciples. We
believe in the fruit of the Spirit,
the gifts of the Spirit, the
ministry gift designations (five
fold ministry), the bible as basis
for life, and giving. We will point
out that we do not believe in
tithing (
teaching on this concept
here), but we believe in
scriptural based giving
(
according to 2 Corinthians
8:11-15). We do not believe in
denominational separations and
boundaries. We purposely defy
man made traditions that do not
further the kingdom of God or
build up one another in our faith
in Jesus Christ. For further
explanation please see
our
beliefs or feel free to call or
email (
contact us).
